Sometimes I feel like LIFE is an ah-ha moment! Seriously, when you’re looking for them, you start to see them everywhere. I had a moment where I figured out this is a BUSINESS (that was pretty early in my writing days). When I wrote my 9th historical, I really felt like I’d turned a corner in my writing and THAT was an ah-ha moment. Also, the day that I figured out that most of my promotional efforts are really for the sake of my publisher because I can’t necessarily move that many sales on my own. Big ah-ha moment!

But I think my favorite is when Jenny Crusie said that you should write with your head down. Meaning that you shouldn’t edit, just write. Write crap. Write awkward. Just write. I’ve written that way ever since and found that it is the process made for me.
